This is the only place I will take my german shepard. Dr. Jravis and her staff are amazing to work with. We have Megan care of our shepard (Miss Emma) grooming, and she does a wonderful job. Emma is special needs, and it is extremely hard to trim her nails, but Megan always gets it done. Highly recommend this place for your pets health needs. If you call to schedule an appointment, ask for Miss Sherrie. She's the best.

I had a cat with an urgent need to be seen as soon as possible. My regular vet was out of town and I called eight veterinary practices to try and get an appointment. I don't know of any other clinics in Winston-Salem that offer walk-in appointments for new patients and I am SO grateful to Dr. Strickland and the staff at Old Town Veterinary Hospital. They saw my sweet kitty on a Saturday morning and promptly treated her with antibiotics and sent home a few extra supplies in case I needed them. What a wonderful service they provide to the community at a fraction of the cost of an emergency room visit (not to mention a five hour wait at the ER vet that was quoted to me over the phone😳). I was so pleased that I will now switch to this veterinary practice! I would definitely highly recommend this practice, especially given the fact that they are willing to help out animals who aren't established patients at their clinic. 5+++ stars!!

My dog gets very loud when she is near other dogs and gets very hyper. Its almost unbearable sometimes. What I really appreciate is them going out of their way for what's best for my dog. They set me up on times where there's not traffic of other dogs so things go nice and smooth for both of us. You can tell they really enjoy their jobs and everyone I have met that works there has been very nice and professional.

We have used Oldtown for 20 years. In the last 6 years, our dogs have had surgery or dentals with each of the doctors and each time we could not have been more pleased. Yesterday Dr Jarvis spent a very extended time with me and my dog explaining his nerve impingements, helping me to properly handle his disability. She was patient, supportive and of course, knowledgeable. Dr Gates and Dr Strickland have done the same with our other dogs. They all truly care and it shows every time. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Oldtown Veterinary Hospital!

I was happy with the attention and staff when I walked in without an appointment to have my Abigail’s nails trimmed. They took her quickly. I been with them for a while and choose them because of the good recommendations I got. Abigail is skittish with strangers and they allowed me to go back with her to a certain point so Abby would walk back. Did an excellent job on the nail trim. Will continue with them and highly recommend them.
